Q: How often should I replace my mattress?
A: Ideally a mattress should be replaced every 7 - 12 years for hygenic reasons but a mattress can last for 15 - 20 years. Yes, some mattresses have 10 -20 year warranties. This is by no means a guarantee of its life expectancy as everyone treats their mattress differently and everyone's weight varies.
Q: Do I need to replace my base also?
A: Not always. Most mattresses are suitable for timber slats and timber ensemble bases. So unless the timber slats or ensemble base is broken, bent or flexes extensively then the base should be fine to use. Some ensemble bases are made in conjunction with the mattress, so if you decide to keep the base when you buy a new mattress be aware that the mattress may feel different than what you tried in the store. Be sure to check with sales person prior to purchase.
Q: My mattress had body impressions. Is there something wrong?
A: Many of today's top-quality mattresses use technologically advanced foams and fibres that are designed to be softer and more comfortable while ensuring your body has the support you need for good health. By cradling your body, these materials relieve pressure and are so comfortable that you'll probably toss and turn less in the night. For that reason, if you sleep on a new mattress that offers these extra comfort layers, you will likely notice some body impressions on the mattress surface. These impressions are normal and shouldn't be considered a sign that something is wrong with your mattress. Unless your mattress care instructions indicate otherwise, you may want to rotate your mattress from end-to-end and from top-to-bottom. Doing this will help minimise impressions.
Q: What is the best way to protect my new mattress?
A: Mattress protector, including the use of waterproof mattress protector, is the easiest way to protect the manufacturer’s warranty on your mattress. Should a problem arise with your mattress, it must be free of stains in order to qualify for a warranty exchange or repair. Aside from keeping your mattress free of stains, many mattress protectors have the ability to keep dust mites out of your new mattress and away from your skin.
Q: What does the warranty cover?
A: A warranty covers manufacturing faults under the condition of normal wear and tear. A warranty period is not a gurantee of life expectancy.
Q: Do you deliver to country areas?
A: We can organise delivery in most areas but the price does differ from our standard Adelaide metro area price. On most occasions the customer will organise a transport company and we will deliver to the transport depot in Adelaide.
